The V-ring is an all-rubber seal. It mounts directly on the shaft and seals axially against the counter-face, housing, bearing race, and similar surfaces. Designed with a long flexible lip, it acts like a mechanical face seal and a lip seal. It can retain lubricants or exclude contaminants. The V-ring also can be used as the primary seal or as a secondary back-up seal. And it is capable of handing a greater amount of eccentricity and misalignment as well as axial movement. Each V-ring can be used for a range of different shaft sizes.
For those extremely dirty rod wiping situations, a standard Polyseal can be used as a wiper ring.
Properly selected wiper rings will greatly extent the life of internal seals and bearings in hydraulic equipment.

The polyseals are a family loaded lip U-cups. Each style incorporates the use of a quad shaped rubber energizer to improved the low pressure, low temperature sealing characteristics of a fully molded polyurethane U-cup. Polyseals are available in a borad range of compounds including Fluorotrel, Nitrile, Fluorocarbon, and Ethylene Propylene Elastomer. Polyseals are available in extended range of diameters and cross sections. They seal a broad range of fluids including petroleum based hydraulic oil plus all fire retardant fluids such as phosphate esters and water glycol.

The product can be supplied with a center hole to ensure concentricity between cup and piston or you may elect to receive them with no cener hole to adapt one stndard bore size and different piston hardware.
